AVID Elective Level 1: Implementing the Fundamentals of Instruction (2025–26)

The AVID Elective Level 1: Implementing the Fundamentals of Instruction Community of Practice focuses on the foundational knowledge, skills, tools, and resources needed to teach the AVID Elective class in grades 6–12. The course emphasizes the structure of a week in the AVID Elective and how it translates into Rigorous Academic Preparedness, Student Agency, and Opportunity Knowledge, all student outcomes of the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework.

AVID Site Coordinators who are new AVID Elective teachers should complete this course before attending Site Coordinators Level 1.
