AVID Elective Level 3: Advancing Agency for Teachers and Students (2025–26)

The AVID Elective Level 3: Advancing Agency for Teachers and Students Community of Practice advances and refines the AVID Elective class. Educators will engage with colleagues to strengthen the use of Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR®) student-centered instructional practices and explore strategies to differentiate instruction and increase student agency. Participants will use resources such as the revised AVID Weeks at a Glance, AVID Elective Standards, and other curriculum resources to build connected communities through relational capacity activities to foster supportive and equitable learning spaces.

Considerations

This learning experience is for contracted secondary AVID Elective site members who have completed the first- and second-year trainings, AVID Elective Level 1: Implementing the Fundamentals of Instruction and AVID Elective Level 2: Tutorials and Refining Implementation.
