AVID Elective Level 3: Advancing Agency for Teachers and Students (2024–25)
The AVID Elective Level 3: Advancing Agency for Teachers and Students Community of Practice is designed for middle and high school AVID Elective educators and AVID Site Coordinators who previously attended professional learning to implement and refine the AVID Elective. This Community of Practice will strengthen the implementation of the AVID Elective by supporting teachers in reflecting on how they currently implement WICOR® strategies, emphasizing educator and student agency, refining methodologies, and utilizing resources such as the revised AVID Weeks at a Glance, AVID Elective standards, and additional curriculum resources. All strategies, digital activities, and digital tools introduced in this Community of Practice can be leveraged in face-to-face, blended, or virtual learning environments.
