Transformational AVID Leadership (2024–25)

Transformational AVID Leadership (2024–25)

The Transformational AVID Leadership Community of Practice is for site- and district-level leaders with extensive AVID leadership training and considerable experience leading AVID implementation and refinement. Participants will deepen their investigation of the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, considering how to ensure all students on any campus get what they need to be college- and career-ready. Based around the four educator behaviors of Insist on Rigor, Break Down Barriers, Align the Work, and Advocate for Students, this course will challenge participants to refine and apply the essential leadership practices and skills needed for AVID to be a transformational force in classrooms, across schools, and throughout entire districts. While individual leaders are strongly encouraged to attend this learning experience, sites/districts with an administrative team are encouraged to register their full team. Prior participation in Leadership Communities of Practice is strongly recommended. All strategies, digital activities, and digital tools experienced in this Community of Practice can be leveraged in face-to-face, blended, or virtual learning environments.
